Richard Watts Day
We have adopted the third Sunday in September as Richard Watts Day and each year, we will commemorate our founder on that day. This year we provided each resident with a take-away cream tea plus a hand-made face mask. Trustee, Liz Janz came in to help distribute the goodie bags and said:

“I really enjoyed helping Christine deliver the delicious cream teas to everyone on Richard Watts Day. We visited Reeves, Donald Troup and the Almshouses and I was pleased to say hello to so many. It was such a wonderfully sunny and warm day and everyone seemed remarkably cheery considering all that is going on. Keeping our distance, wearing our masks and washing our hands are going to be with us a while yet and I was very aware of how everyone is adhering to the rules. The Richard Watts family is a very special one.”
Hockey Club Award
Trustees agreed an award of £1,000 to Old Williamsonian Hockey Club to provide funds for their hardship fund and/or their under 16’s training which is currently provided free to members.
