Watts Opening 8th & 9th September​
As part of the national Heritage Open Days event celebrating England's heritage and culture Watts Almshouses will open to the public on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September 10am-4pm. Visitors can tour the grounds with a guide and view an almshouse; one of the original almshouses will be open where possible. You can also visit the exhibition in the Board Room and discuss the services provided by Watts Charities. Refreshments and home-made cakes will be on sale.

St Justus Church The Fairway Rochester
The Trustees have awarded £600 to St Justus to purchase children's play equipment and toys for use in the children's groups they run.
St Justus runs a range of activities and groups including Tods, their toddler group which meets twice a week and provides an opportunity for parents and carers to meet and make new friends. It gives pre-school children an opportunity to develop social skills and play in a spacious area with a wide range of toys, ending with a time of singing. Sessions run on Monday afternoons between 1pm and 2:30pm and Thursday mornings between 10am and 11:30am during term time. Who Let the Dads Out? is an opportunity in Rochester for children (under 11) and the men in their life to get together on a Saturday morning, enjoy a bacon roll, play with the kids, and get to know other fathers in the local area. Action for Borstal Community Project
The Trustees have awarded £398 to Action For Borstal Community Project for a trip for their pre-school children.
ABC are a registered charity based in Borstal, Rochester, Kent. It was set up in 1995 by a local Health visitor, Felicity Lewis, after recognising a need for services to support young families. The project is run from the ground floor of a residential building, generously donated via MHS homes. Their Pre-School services are run by highly trained staff that are dedicated and passionate about their roles in caring for your children and assisting on giving them the very best start to their journey through education. The Pre-School caters for children aged 2 till they start School with funding available to 2 year olds that meet the government criteria and funding for all 3 and 4 year olds. The pre-school has obtained a GOOD with OUTSTANDING features OFSTED inspection. For more information call 01634 848856.
