New Apprenticeship Grant Scheme launched
We wish to support young people, aged up to 25, who live in ME1 or ME2 and who are continuing beyond the first year of a trade apprenticeship. They can apply for funds to support them with additional study costs, protective equipment or clothing, education travel costs or anything else that would help them to complete their apprenticeship.
An application form must be completed by the apprentice supported by their employer. Click on image to find more details about Apprenticeship Grants.
Almshouse Best Pots
Many of our residents are keen gardeners and although they do not have much space in which to grow plants, they do make the most of their pots. Every summer their pots are judged by the Chief Officer together with a Trustee. We look at healthiness of the plants, their containers, presence of weeds and general maintenance of the plant. Although there are a huge number of pots and plants to consider, this year's first prize went to Di and Jim's New Guinea Impatien which was an excellent example of the quality that the judges were looking for.
