Watts Opening 8th & 9th September​
As part of the national Heritage Open Days event celebrating England's heritage and culture Watts Almshouses will open to the public on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September 10am-4pm. Visitors can tour the grounds with a guide and view an almshouse; one of the original almshouses will be open where possible. You can also visit the exhibition in the Board Room and discuss the services provided by Watts Charities. Refreshments and home-made cakes will be on sale.

How to find us:
The main entrance for vehicles is in Watts Avenue.
By road from the east:
M2 – leave at Junction 3 A229 exit towards Chatham/Rochester/Maidstone.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the A229 towards Chatham/Rochester.
At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Rochester Road – B2097.
Continue along Rochester Road which leads into Maidstone Road, Rochester.
You will see Watts Almshouses on your left.
Turn left into Watts Avenue, and left in to Watts Almshouses.
By road from London:
A2 – take the A2 exit towards Rochester.
Continue along the A2 through Strood, and across Rochester Bridge.
Turn right into Victoria Street (B2097).
Follow the road round to the right and then round to the left into Maidstone Road.
Turn right into Watts Avenue, the entrance to the Almshouses is immediately on your left.
By rail:
Rochester railway station is approximately 20 minute walk from Watts Almshouses.
Turn left out of Rochester railway station.
Cross over the road at the first crossing and go up Blue Boar Lane (left of the car park) Turn left into Rochester High Street and right into Crow Lane.
Continue up Crow Lane to the end and cross over Vines Lane into Maidstone Road.
Watts Almshouses is on the right, a further 5 minute walk up Maidstone Road.
